Pulling off data on a working phone - that is parts are all there as innards but software bugs fucks it up - The data in memory is 99.999% if tyme locked in.

Full reset of O/S and memory is wiped clean during the first re-boot. The bad news is a Tech would have to have the knowledge to connect directly to flash memory and offload it to a drive for later reloading. Can be done in less then 45 minutes by the right Tek

I doubt you wood have considered this cause of stuff maybe u do not want a parent to C - That said I am 101% sure your Dad could hand that phone over to one of many many in his daily Enviro and get that memory off loaded for you at no cost

Did you consider asking your dad? I am also sure he has full access to the tools necessary. With what is avail to him, those who fix cell phones are in the dark ages of technology.

Me? I do not have those tool either. But I am only 12 minutes drive to Qualcomm headquarters with dozens of buildings with all those tools.

I could also go just 10 minutes South of me to UCSD - Engineering school named after founder of Qualcomm - Wander around and find a student in need of $25 bucks.

I do have lots of test equipment and could jury rig what it takes to do that kind of thing but it wood take me hours n hours n just to much trouble - Reminds me I need to put up a fun video re Ocean and something I am most Jelly of.

SD memory is removable - Sim is also a small memory with good stuff so its good you have that

One year old phone? Probably good you are not on TELUS. Not saying anything bad about them cause they have as well put money in my wallet.
