I have no idea why I agreed to having 3 cats and 2 large cat towers that takes up space in the living room. I can also only play my vidya at night because she is in full command of the front room, It doesn't matter if I OWN the place, pay the bills and buy most of the shopping... If there is something on TV she wants to see then it's on and I have to use my headphones. If she's studying then it's my headphones but she won't study in the bedroom. I also have to do my half of the cleaning, fair enough you might think but I pay for everything! Fucking cat got sick and because she's a student I have to help out with the vet bills - I didn't even want a 3rd cat, I'm very tempted to just put it outside.

Mate agreeing to let a student move into your home is a huge error. You're obviously going to be completely rinsed financially and she'll be completely ungrateful. As you can see, your Mrs. is treating it as if it's an equal situation (and this one is going further and actually subjugating you a bit)

Basically you are being totally fucked over by a selfish person, and from what you've said it doesn't sound like she's even very fit. I'm also guessing, from your comment about burlesque performers being "out of your league", that you have pretty low self esteem and you probably think she's the best you can get and that's why you're letting her walk all over you. You've gotta realise that there's no such thing as "leagues" of human attraction. It's not the Premiership/Championship. It's much more like the FA Cup. I know this to be true because I've gone out with a burlesque performer myself, as well as a model and a few other general hotties. And I am the type of guy who stumbles upon this place, so what does that tell you?

Now, you might think that the obvious solution is to somehow change the boundaries and remind her that she's basically a parasite and she should treat you as the man of the house, at least until she graduates and is covering her share of the bills. Sadly it's not gonna work that way. The only solution is to rip it up and start again and finish the relationship. If you try to separate her from this cushy situation she has found herself in, in any way, then your relationship will fall apart in the chaos anyway.

Then you need to fix your self esteem. Knowing that you have the balls to walk away from a situation where you are being completely mugged off will give you a boost, then I recommend a new wardrobe and hitting the gym. Then maybe you'll have the confidence to get cracked into a burlesque dancer.

Nah that's a bit too far actually, now that I think of it. I was pissed off that I spent 20 minutes writing some advice and he didn't even acknowledge it, let alone thank me, but looking at it now I was maybe too harsh to threaten him physically.
