These news items are just free advertising for the knives. Everybody wants to know what kind, and where can I get some of those, and jeepers I'd sure like those Italian switchblades too because they are fackin' awesome.

Pretty sure that in many places, you buy swords and all kinds of sharp shit as you want, and in other places you can't, and there are no allowances for meeting requirements because no constitution mentions assault knives in the affirmative or in the negative at all, akin to say common poisons that may or may not be generally available.
