In the future when bodies are nothing more than husks or sleeves, vehicles of the mind, w/e, will they try to charge someone occupying a body with a crime committed by the body's previous owner? The present owner who bought the sleeve wholesale and discounted did not commit the crime by our timeline and yet the husk it inhabits was the tool for this crime. Are they guilty? No, of course not. Idk, something like that. Could be an interesting scifi short story maybe.
