In a looser sense you're correct. 99% of diagnoses after the DSM-IV revision of the condition have been contrived by manufactured epidemics. That's not to say there's no such thing as genotypical neurological hypermasculinim (Cohen's hypothesis) but this was always fairly rare, the rest are just recategorized retards, of course.
