Disturbingly, these 'identikit' false claims of alleged racially-motivated and/or homophobic attacks, criminal damage et al appear to be on the increase in recent times, and predominantly by students it seems. Why?

Oh, and as tradition dictates when it comes to these types of allegations being proved as bullshit, the claimant won't be prosecuted for wasting police time and resources:

But police said Kennedy will not face any action for wasting police time as they were convinced he actually believed he had been assaulted when he spoke to police.

Yeah right. They bottled it in other words.

Such fictitious claims are regrettable not least because it may induce scepticism over genuine claims of racist/homophobic attacks... and all because a small but seemingly growing, masochistic minority insist on publicly revelling in invented victimhood.
