I had filed. I was the one doing all the filing and court appearances in texas. Now that I'm gone, I don't have any way to continue the process as it stands. The status is "I haven't done anything with it since february of last year".
There is a kid involved, but we've already gotten this part resolved. Its not mine, the father took a paternity test, and I've contacted the attorney general to get the ball rolling so she can file on him for child support, and not me.

Well, I married a friend because of legal issues, and after a year we started dating other people. After two more years I decided to finally pursue a divorce, and we both agreed. There were some complications because she had gotten pregnant and had a child during the time we'd been dating other people. After numerous court dates, and with piling frustrations (from a girl I was dating that had no patience for legal procedures and even held me at "keypoint" (ie with a key to my neck instead of a knife)) I finally left the state about a year ago, and haven't really given it any thought till I came back to california to start my life over. While I was traveling I had ignored numerous calls from the attorney general because I didn't have an address, but when I got a solid physical address I called them and paperwork should be coming to settle the child support issue. I just can't be arsed to go through the process anymore, I had spent at least a year doing ALL the paperwork, going to ALL the court dates, and doing ALL the work. She can deal with it if she really wants.
