There's no pain and I can't think of anything red heavy that would do it. I'm gonna call the doctor in the morning if it persists.

Anyone ever had something like this?

Yeah, unfortunately. It could be a number of things. They'll probably want to do an endoscopy and colonoscopy. They might put you on protonix or zegerid if your junk is all inflamed. Considering your age, it's probably something simple like hemorrhoids but it's better safe than sorry.

Do you have any known GI issues? A history of heavy drinking or taking a fuckton of NSAIDs? It could be ulcers, gastritis, the big C, etc, but I wouldn't panic just yet but get it checked out, fool.

Is it bright red or dark red / black? Any abdominal pain?

It's a light red in water, didn't seem to dark when I investigated.
No stomach pain other than ribs, but I assume that was from working out the day before.
Doctor said I had an ulcer but we never checked if it was legit (no scans or anything), and hemroids from working out as a kid.
I'm not panicking, I just like to check my Internet sources for help.

An ulcer is very possible but my guess is probably hemorrhoids, they're fairly common and can be internal so you might not have any idea that they're there. If that's the case your doc may change your diet a bit (plenty of fiber/roughage and water), discourage you from straining when you do your business, and possibly prescribe hydrocortisone suppositories.

The abdominal pain to be concerned about in this case would be below your ribs, but if there's none, that's a good thing. If it's gastritis (basically what happens before you have a full blown ulcer) or an ulcer you can take OTC zegerid (omeprazole w/ sodium bicarb.), zantac (ranitidine), and a little aloe vera juice. The aloe vera juice wouldn't hurt in either case and can be picked up at most supermarkets or health food stores. I'm not sure what the other two are marketed as in Canada so I included the generic names, in any case a pharmacist should be able to hook it up if you have trouble finding them. If you went to the ER they would verify you were passing blood, possibly stick a tube down through your nose and down your throat and into your stomach and suck up a little fluid to visually check for blood (I forget what the procedure is called), maybe give you some saline, and a little protonix, and refer you to a gastroenterologistfag. Or at least that seems par for the course here unless the case warrants immediate attention.

Definitely go ahead and schedule an appointment to get it checked out, but in the meantime you can take the PPI and antacid I mentioned and/or aloe vera juice (it helps to coat the GI tract in addition to making it easier to pass stools, sort of like a very mild laxative). Also a quick google search will offer some ulcer friendly diets.

I had blood work less than six months ago....nothing was anything but tip top...liver checked out fine........and no that does not mean it is a fact my liver is in perfect shape....but there would have been indications in the lab results if it was seriously fucked..

Furthermore, I don't know how to tell you this, Bert... but cirrhosis of the liver won't always show up on blood work. With your history of alcohol abuse you might consider getting a liver biopsy done. Especially if you weren't honest with your doctor about your alcohol use.
