Topic: Walter's objectivization can be annoying
+Nautphagina !MLHqI35Srs — 12.6 years ago #32,215
However, then I think, inversely, how a radfem is trying to pathologize that behaviour as some inhuman expression of lowly autism ala Grandin's mother's recent paper.
So in trying to avoid hypocrisy, tolerance needs exercised. Wally is confused anyway; I don't think he realizes it
is the trap.

Yeah, his utter sexualisation of trans*women is somewhat disturbing. I think tumblr is rubbing off on me. Maybe that isn't a bad thing so far.

It isn't tumblr if you feel that instinctually and aren't just substituting conscience with orthodoxy.
But one has to remember the dialectic is, well, dichotomous; the opposition does much worse.

Talking once again specifically about the equation of anything masculine with some pervasive developmental pathology.

I think a lot of things are defined as masculine that just... aren't.

Which is part of the trick, to make them 'unkosher' in a 'modern society' i.e. one dominated under their ideological lens.
Which things in particular though, out of curiosity?

There's no sense in bundling sexualization (neutral) and dehumanization (wrong) together as "objectification". Most people treat trans women like shit. Walter is no different, he just happens to have a kink.

Is it necessarily true that sexualisation is neutral? What are you, sex-positive radfem? Fuck off.

The first things that come to mind are academics and sports, given that I'm in high school and all. My AP lit class has 4 guys in a class of about 20. AP Chemistry has 4 girls in a class of about 20. AP calc is 6 girls in 23. AP Physics is split about evenly, which is interesting. Pre-calc top set is... 4 girls in ~15?
It's weird to see classes so gender split, cause there's no observable aptitud
e difference.

And you eat into the secretive, implicit hypocrisy of sex-positivity-as-a-shield for female promiscuity.
That's why I equate tradcons and radfems as two sides of the same coin.

There's nothing harmful about sexualization in itself. Whether it has a positive or negative outcome depends on other things like empathy.

It seems like society has developed a very warped idea of what is and isn't masculine. Some of the loftier masculine virtues in this paradigm appear to be blissful ignorance (stupidity and faith over knowledge and reason), stoicism, a hearty appetite for self destruction, and so on. I think being a cowboy and smoking may also be masculine qualities. Not 100% though.

Read some human biodiversity and psychometrics blogs. Lindsay is good for beginners. It's less that these are 'masculine' culturally but that men are driven to them due to biological differences.

@371,020 (Triptych !IupsXZPnnU) It's silly but we've slowly adopted this attitude that it's somehow more manly to just grin and bear it, to just keep things bottled up until you have a breakdown. Shit's fucked, yo.

He's living vicariously. S/he actually wants the submissive role, pretty body, to be adored, the lot.
