Topic: Metro Atlanta came to a standstill last night

My boyfriend walked home after 8 hours of trying to drive home from work, my sister spent the night at work, another friend spent the night in a gas station parking lot after 7 hours of trying to get home. I got lucky I live not so close to the interstate and I was able to leave as early as I did. It was NUTS out there. There were close to a thousand accidents in the metro Atlanta area and someone had a baby on one of the interstates, lol. From the local news, "The winter storm has mostly moved into the Carolinas, but metro Atlanta traffic remained gridlocked at 7 a.m. Wednesday as Tuesday’s afternoon rush hour from hell stretched into hour 18." So in conclusion I have the whole day off and we are looking at a possible refreeze tonight, so possibly tomorrow as well. HAHAH yeah wow i left that out oops. We got snow before the temp dropped and the roads were still warm, so snow melted on the roads making it wet... so when the temp actually dropped the roads turned into sheets of ice. Weeeeeeeeeee I'm gonna play Skyrim and TF2 all day long

Also everyone went home early, but not early enough and caused Car-pocalypse 2014. So a shitload of people going home at once on ice roads caused chaos.

lol nope not really ever. a couple years ago we had an ice storm and everything was shut down for like 3 days. but this never really happens. i want to go outside and play but i have no friends close or roommates and i know none of my neighbors lol

yeah our state government decided salting the roads wasn't necessary until it was too late and the roads were icing over. add that and the fact that none of us is experienced in driving in snow, AND the fact that everyone and their mother left work/school at the same time, it created a pile of shit
