I can recall several episodes of South Park (e.g. Awesome-O) where they cut scenes out that they previously aired numerous times before. Like when that one character called Eric Cartman a faggot for dressing up like Britney Spears and dancing around a cardboard cutout of Justin Timberlake or in the Wal-Mart episode where that one Wal-Mart employee is hanged and craps himself.

Are there new FCC restrictions in place?

IIRC the FCC will censor programs depending on what time of day it is because of younger audiences.
