Women are in denial of their in-born privilege and even the more masculine ones are passive enough that they enjoy life being handed to them on a platter simply due to the idealization of the beauty they have monopolized for themselves.

That's not to say this is what trans are looking for in becoming them. Transwomen will have some base-neurological male instincts like assertiveness and initiative, making them seek to realize their desires, which is probably driving the gap alone.

Society on the whole idealizes the masculine form and thus it is perfectly acceptable for women to exhibit masculine traits or appearance. To the opposite end, men who display feminine traits or appearance are considered to be ineffective at performing the tasks required for survival. Females of any species are nominally attracted to males who display a high propensity for survival. The feminine males are then left to their own devices, sexually. They can either choose to chase cockmeat as a flaming homosexual, transition to a woman and pursue whichever gender they prefer, or remain sexually confused- slowly slipping away into a world of fetishized pornography.

I wouldn't be so sure that they are. MtFs are just much more visible than FtMs. A pre/non-hormonal FtM just looks like a butch or a baby dyke, and a post-hormonal one just looks like any (although often shorter) guy. It's much more difficult to reverse the effects of testosterone.

What does the male gender offer to the FTM transition in waiting? For an uneducated, poor, and non-attractive woman the male gender offers them nothing as they will meet the fate of the uneducated, poor, non-attractive men they know and find undesirable.

Most FTMs are wealthy, educated, have a strong social group and pass easily as a feminine man; femininity is expressly allowed in their middle class social groups. They transition to a desirable male maintaining their support structure as the notion of a FTM isn't insidious as it harks back to the concept of tomboyism.

The FTM naturally has the advantage that passing as a man is easier and at worse they look like feminine. Coupled with their wealth, job, and social ties it's much easier for them to go unnoticed.

Not only are they less visible but there are less FTMs in the position where the FTM transition gives them a better hand than they have.

The MTF transition allows enables many positives for an uneducated, unattractive, non-wealthy individual male who as yet another alienated, undesired, and unloved 20something man gets access to the desire inherent to the female gender. The downsides of being a non-passing trans are obviously worth access to the trans support network and feelings of being wanted.

We all know gender identity is crazy talk.
MTFs gain most of the time. FTMs don't always gain.

That is a pretty good impression, I must say, and something I don't disagree with, either.
