This is because of economic reasons intentionally put in place by the government to control people. Women can no longer stay at home like the old days. They have careers on top of having normal lives. As a result their time is constrained and what is left is a society that takes shortcuts and demands instant results. The results of that are widespread obesity (fast food instead of home cooked meals) and a demand for instant gratification.
What is left is a large population of fat people who will be eaten by the reptilians of the world once the order is given to feast. We have feminists to thank for this coming disaster.
