We can all usually tell a leftist by the style of their writing, even if they don't say anything political. Why is this? What are the giveaway signs? I can think of 3 main things - sarcasm, violence and faux-informality.1. Sarcasm. A normal person will write, "I disagree with that". A leftist will write, "I disagree with that, but I guess I'm just a dumb chick, so what do I know, right?"
2. Violence. A normal person will write, "Read some books and educate yourself on the subject". A leftist will write, "You really need to educate yourself, or better yet, die in a fire after stepping on lego and contracting a painful fucking disease".
3. Faux-informality. A normal person will write, "Can you provide a source for that?". A leftist will write, "How about, umm, oh I don't know, maybe providing a source for that?"

Most tumblrites write in all lowercase with "ironic" misspellings, a la the new vocalette: "rofl nice fedora dudebro [:" It's meant to suggest that they don't care enough to earnestly defend their opinions. Of course the reality is that they're just too stupid to do so.
