I just watched this movie tonight.I have no idea why, but it makes me interested in the third which I did hear they are planning for.

That was what I thought too especially when they killed off The Motherfucker.
But each of these movies is based on a comic series so the comics apparently go Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, then Kick-Ass 2.
The most recent series which is apparently going to run for 8 issues is named Kick-Ass 3 so it's not far-fetched that there isn't a third movie.
I'd also assume Hit-Girl may get her own movie spin-off as well, but not sure if it'll be an adaption of her comic spin-off or not. I thought her comic would have been set after the events of Kick-Ass 2 since she left but is apparently set between the two movies.
