When I call someone a faggot it is never because they are homosexual. Faggot should be able to be used to describe people just like the word idiot or imbecile

Except idiot and imbecile are also considered hate speech because they are mean words. If something is arbitrarily considered offensive, that is the biggest reason to continue doing it.
