Why must every mission/job in this game be done with more players?! Whenever I load up this game I always just end up wandering in free roam tossing myself at pedestrians. Why can't I take missions solo, Rockstar?!
This literally makes me reluctant to even play online.

Online has missions as well, but this time you're at risk from getting buttfudged by anyone seeing you at all. It's way more annoying to play online if you're on a public session.

There apparently added a passive mode so you do not take damage.

I found out that you actually can. Was doing a mission for Simeon where I have to find stolen cars and got lost on where the fucking freeway exists where.
Then my connection to Xbox Live conked out.

You can choose a solo or invite only session, and just not invite anyone. It's good for modifying your character or car without worrying about griefers.
Passive mode is only good for gun damage. You can still get run down and blown up. It's good for running up on snipers etc
