Just got back from seeing this movie and it was actually really good. They did added some stuff to the actual Smaug scene that may make Tolkien roll over in his grave though. It was nice to see Gandalf getting his own little adventure despite not being in the book. And this was probably the first time I ever saw a movie that looked so clear in 3D that it makes me wish the first part looked like that.

If you're asking me to rate the movie with 10 being the greatest and 1 being the worst.
I'll probably say an 8 out of 10 as of right now.

The main problem with these Hobbit movies is that they're trying to cover 3 films with not a whole lot of material in comparison to LOTR.
