Topic: To wait or not to wait. That is the question.

I am considering on getting that Starbound game, but not sure if I should get it for the full price of $14.99 which after doing some budgeting I can afford and doesn't seem all that expensive or wait to see if it goes down lower during the Steam Christmas Sale.
The only other game I would be watching for price drops is Scribblenauts Unmasked which apparently is marked down currently to $29.99 so that should be the price I should expect for the sale plus it might get marked down lower for their daily deal thing. I kind of have a feeling it will.
For those of you who have played Starbound. Do you think the price of $14.99 is a worthy price?
I've been holding back as I have a nasty habit of acquiring games I'm interested in for low prices during these sales (lol Svet, you with me there?), but this is one game that I have actually been wanting really badly since I first saw early footage.
Sorry for being so indecisive. This is clearly a problem that I need to work on.

I've been looking at that game too, but given it's still in beta (or early access however they put) and I've just bought Terraria last week I'd just wait for it to be more complete first. Plus, Christmas is getting very close, another massive sales season you know, they MIGHT put it on a sales, or you can get other games cheap to keep you occupied until this does.
14.99 for an early release game? Nah, given how Terraria is only 9.99 I can hardly call it worthwhile.

@OP
It's still very much a beta, with most updates giving full on universe wipes.
Wait it out.

I remember when a minecraft update wiped out a significant potion of minichan's server because lava was suddenly able to start fires.

There is a game that is basically that, but I forgot the name of it.
The Doctor Who Client Mod seems to also answer this request too as it even has a new GUI for space travel.
