But apparently they uploaded the GOLD edition instead of the standard one. I wish I downloaded the GOLD one so I didn't have to store two sims3packs.

Depends on which version you downloaded. If you have GOLD it should have a lot which you're obviously suppose to place on the 64x64 lot by the beach. If you downloaded the Standard edition then you have to get "The Broadwork" separately. Yes, you can build your own.

I picked a sim I made from my sim-self.
