Tell us about your fitness routine please. I just joined a gym and starting to feel the benefits. How long does it take you to run 10 miles? and do you find the warmth helps? I live in london so outside jogging can be cold plus I can get run over. How long should I keep my heart rate up for?

Gheeeeshhh Morbid - Of all the people here there is NO ONE with more evidence of living outside of a box. Morbid just cause you are stuck in a box does not mean you have to stay there.

My fitness routine started with laps in a pool and there was NOT one single day when I found it difficult to jump in YET often I upped the laps cause of Endorphins.

Did that for a few years and I think it was like 45 minutes of laps daily.

Running took me about 1 year to get up to the daily 10.

For you its not about tyme. Its all about getting in2 some kind of Aerobic exercise - Heart rate needs to be 60-85% of max rate for your weight/age. I bunch of years ago figured based on Kerbs cycle that I needed 22 minutes at the 85% rate.

So if the weather is really horrid hard mean rain in face I switch to a Stair Step and get my heart up to 85% in about 3 minutes and then go on stepping for 22 minutes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerobic_exercise

My personal daily tyme varies depending on if Sand is hard packed or juicy wet or total dry which is no fun at all. AND I prefer Cool rather then cold and dislike really really dislike running in HOT - Just hate that. So I watch weather forecasts and on hot days I start out just after surfing my Ocean a Blue which DOES NOT COUNT as Aerobic - Fun wonderful fun and great exercise but NOT NOT Aerobic.

All kinds of benefits for gym stuff but NOT unless it includes a Aerobic routine.

Oh and Why 10? No need for me to do that much for keeping my heart and pipes in great shape - The added tyme/miles allows me to Eat much more great calorie loaded stuff -

But its not an excuse for eating more fatty meat cause a famous runner JAMES Fixx died jogging and he wrote the complete book of running cept he had decided on own that a high fat diet was good for him.

Maybe so but it jammed up his pipes and killed him real dead.
