he died last jan 24.......he was very sick for several weeks before he died....I watched as day after day the person who meant more to me than anyone in the world got weaker and weaker.....he hardly ate a thing during the last month or so.....and when he did he would throw it up......I held his hand at the hospital the day he died....jan 24...I saw my dad take his last breath....less than a year ago..

my father was a very special man....when he passed the cards and letters started coming in from people who thought he was a special man......my mother and I counted the cards at one point and there was well over three hundred of them.....he wa the kindest most gentle person I have ever seen in my forty plus years...I think he would have rather been hit in the head with a brick than to lie to someone.....I can not recall one single instance....ever....where I saw him being dishonest.....he was a good man..

Bert has apologized for his behavior and then repeats the same mistakes moments later. Maybe it's sad, but Bert is his own worst enemy. Trip's response was mild in comparison and it's not like she got to that point overnight. Bert has been winding her up for some time and being nice to him obviously doesn't work. If you want to get warm fuzzies from defending someone, go ahead, but I think you could do better than Bert.
