Nobody can ever be the "next Beatles". The industry is too big and genres too splintered. The Beatles didn't just have the right appeal, they were there at just the perfect time in history when music was beginning to establish itself as a full-fledged industry and there were only a few hundred widely recognized performers/bands. Now there are several million, and with the internet the rate at which things go viral means that the fame is just as fleeting before something else comes along.

You're forgetting the fact that the Beatles were a proper band, proper musicians, and amazing songwriters.
1d are a game show invention, formed and controlled by committee opinion, and whose entire raison d'etre is to make money for untalented old men.
