Topic: Does bert drink to escape his mundane existence?

+Anonymous A12.7 years ago #29,891

Or is it because he can't face up to it, and looking at himself in the mirror and reflecting on all of the terrible decisions he's made can't be done sober?

@347,417 (C)

Well, it sort of indicates your value to society.

+Anonymous D12.7 years ago, 11 hours later, 11 hours after the original post[T] [B] #347,501

@OP

He drinks so he can make funny drunkposts. Green got really boring when he turned to Christ to quit alcohol.

@347,415 (Triptych !IupsXZPnnU)

> he's in his 40s and making minimum wage

He has a house with a lawn and a lawnmower. You need a good income for that.

@previous (D)
No you don't. My mother and I lived in a lovely house in a nice suburb with a front and backyard, a garage, lawnmower, all that shit. No income.

Nope. Over time more and more services were cut off.

+Anonymous F12.7 years ago, 24 minutes later, 12 hours after the original post[T] [B] #347,524

Minimum wage/work hard. Study hard/still work hard. Once the equal salary movement takes hold and there are no incentives to work hard or learn everybody will realize that the person who works hard in any way is a sucker.

Sounds like your mom had money and then didn't anymore she was using credit and probably got evicted. Maybe not you but I've seen that kind of thing with plenty of neighbors.

I enjoy this, it's just hard and can be slightly overwhelming. I don't think bert gets any satisfaction from his job.
