How about a way of banning someone but they don't know they are banned.
So, they can see the board and post, but no other user can see their posts. Ghost banning.

Most animals have an instinctual reaction of self-preservation which would cause them to seek out safety in case of a fire. Humans are so used to making their own decisions, they are more prone to panicking and being unable to act on instinct.
