Topic: How do you clean a tablet and apply a screen protector?

I might be retarded in this area. I cannot seem to get the screen to brand new condition so it doesn't leave artifacts when the protector is applied. I also cannot seem to get all of the air bubbles out. Makes me wonder if I should just go without it and just clean the screen every now and then.

soapy water on the screen? Then put the protector on wet and push the bubbles out? Sort of like tints

Ugh, gonna sound dumb for asking this, but can you actually use soap on a touchscreen?

I assumed you need a special cleaner and a microfiber cloth.

I always pay the phone shop to do this for me. If you really want DIY, get clean wipe cloth, duct tape, lighter fluid, and air cleaner.

What exactly is the duct tape used for? Lighter fluid?
Can't you just buy screen protectors in retailers?

duct tape for sticking up dust and the protector in case you fucked up or there's underneath.
lighter fluid is for cleaning the screen, it vaporize faster than water thus less likely to run 8nto the tablet and cause havoc.
I can buy screen protector, but I never trust my clumsy hand :/

My dad said he used the edge of a credit card, but I don't know how that wouldn't leave scratches from the edge of the card. Unfortunately, he was wearing a flannel shirt the day he applied mine, so there's some little bits of fuzz under my protector.

Ah, yes, a credit card to help pressing the protector tight to the screen. From what I saw, they press the card at a very very low angle, so it won't scratch the protector with its sharp edge and its own elasticity will also prevent this.
