hmm that would just allow me to monitor it but if it did something stupid there'd be no way to interfere

one way TO the object would make more sense, then at least i could monitor weather forecasts and stuff and send ideal route updates every day (while the object might be dead already lol)

hey i just had this idea... can't i just try to authenticate with some satellite and use the satellites fuck off response and the timing of doing all this to encode data? would be very slow but free

i used an exploit similar to this to get (very slow) free data on a GPRS network once... my prepaid subscription was out of credit and all the TCP/UDP connections were blocked and i got redirected to some "out of credit" website but they didn't block ICMP (ping etc.) so i coded a server that would just use ICMP packet fields and the timing to tunnel a TCP connection lol.

I have friends over at Qualcomm who have used hand held transceivers with just a whip antenna. BUT your window for communication is only a few minutes with up to hours n hours b4 you can get a Satellite to work with. So its not impossible but wood have you tearing out hair waiting for a report or ability to send a command. Its not a network and thats the rub

I wood have to ponder that. For sure wood not work with say Globalstars or Iridium. Deal is say with Globalstars - You go up on L band which gets direct piped to the C band and ends up at a Gateway. So the fuck off wood never end up on the S band downfeed. Iridium the Satellites hand off your Signal Sat to Sat until it gets to the one Gateway. You wood never see a return cause the system could not afford to tell you to fuck off LoL
