My final month free of Xbox Live GOLD has came to an end just a few minutes ago. The promotion for 1 month free is no longer up. This was able to get me two free months even when the 2 months for $2 deal long expired. I guess I'm back in the boat with the silver crowds now. Microsoft caught on to what people were doing from their mistake.

My mother got my brother that game for Christmas and he doesn't have room to install it onto his hard drive. She could him a new one this year so he might use the code. We both played the game for PC though.

forgot, but definitely can fit into a 16gb flash drive, will tell you the exact size tonite. mine is a DL bought at $15 during sales.
It is identical to disc copies content-wise, and it doesnt have those annoying disc reading sound.

I always thought DLed content is only for 1 console, for it has some shitty DRM bounding your content to 1 physical XBox360 machine and only 1. Trying to play the DLed content on another machine without proper DRM transfer may result in permab&. Sprite to me, for I have only 1 XBox.

On the purchase page it says digital content can be accessed by all profiles on the original console that was purchased AND on any other console as long as the profile that purchased it is signed in. Do download codes have the same kind of DRM as digital copies do?

I think DL codes are treated the same as digital copies. I'm very unfamiliar with all these M$ money scamming DRM issues, and after a search on xbox support I think what you said are correct, as long as you access the DL with either your original machine or your profile that you purchase the content with, you're safe.

The 1 month free is a promotion on the Xbox site. I can afford the regular 12 month fee right now that doesn't bring my therapy session quota below 20.

Just get the free membership before you decide to dump the money for the whole fucking year subscription. To me the gold membership is overrated and am glad I only paid for 1 month membership to try out the GTA Online

I decided to just get the 12 months while I can afford it since I'm most likely going to use online features for stuff like Netflix and games anyway.
Looks like I'm back on Gold again and don't have to worry about the expiration until November 19, 2014.
