After the certification process, it won't read data from you disk so you don't risk worn out your xbox lens or scratch your disk.
Also if you install a game FROM XBOX LIVE MARKET, you won't need the disc. just sayin'

Oh. That makes sense. Of course for some games which I share with my brother (WWE 2K14) I buy the disc specifically for that reason.

They DO. If you buy their games from XBox live market you can run it straight off from flash drives or harddisks

Yeah but most rental places are discs. Blu Rays scratch hella easily and even a tiny scratch ruins it.

Well, for game in disc form, apparently if you don't play the same game on 2 different consoles AT THE SAME TIME, M$ would turn a blind eye on it. HAIL M$ FOR SHOWING HIS MERCY!

I can see your point. But for one who NOW has the spare changes for all the silly nintendo games, I prefer just paying up straight instead of running thru all the console modding trouble and bearing with b&hammer threats all the time.
I said NOW becoz I was a poor pirate before. none of my Wii & PS2 games are legit.

No I just bought GTA and gold membership. I hardly touched my xbox for nearly a year, I've got better shit to spend cash on.
