@previous (ducky !MwWb.dJjRc)
did anything he deleted really have any value? would it matter next week if those threads didn't exist? He didn't fail to moderate, he just failed to establish his place in the community, which made him easy to let go. Any mod who stays on top of their job is going to get ragged on by the people that are affected. If we actually have users that check the mod logs on a regular basis, that's pretty sad. It's there so you can see that we do our job, not so you can tell us when we do our job too much.
Personally, I never delete a post without banning the ID for some amount of time so they know why I did it. A lot of people seem to forget that this is a free site, and while we try to provide as much freedom as possible to the users, we still have to prevent the site from going to hell like 4chan did, or else it closes down because Frank can't afford to host a steaming pile of shit that he can't even stand to visit. So yes, sometimes your posts will disappear; get over it. Not everything you ever say in your life needs to be archived for all eternity. You're not god, you're 1 in several billion more highly-evolved primates vying for limited resources on one small planet in a plane of existence that stretches beyond the boundaries of our imagination.
Tinychan started as a small place for a few of Jan's net friends to hang out and bullshit together. TC's "memes" are unique because it existed as a separate entity from the larger chan culture. Given, most chan communities have some amount of internally relevant jokes, the sheer amount we have here speaks to a more creative and less trend-oriented community. Lately though, this has fallen more to the wayside as we see more casual net users, meme consumers, and cross-posters moving in.
Casual users refers to people who generally check facebook first thing when they get online and spend an hour or more doing so without realizing it. This is a problem because of the personal connection it encourages, specifically the unsafe practice of posting your non-disposable identity in a place when any weirdo or creep can find you. Most people these days seem to either be ignorant of, or just don't care how much of their information is being documented online for the entire world to search. Negi learned the hard way that his dick is never going away from the internet. While Beebs hasn't taken any nude shots, he posts his face around quite a bit and I wonder if he ever considered what consequences this might have in his future.
Meme consumers refers to redditors, 9fags, funnyjunkies, etc. These sites you use aren't content creators, they just recycle stuff from 4chan in a palatable and easy-to-reuse form. While there's nothing wrong with recycling content, the volume of stuff that get recycled and spread to places like facebook and twitter means 4chan is effectively everywhere on the internet, which means people who actually use chan sites get sick of seeing it. That's why I crop images whenever people post something from 9fag; I don't want any more people using those secondhand sites and plastering it everywhere. So if you think about using a reaction face that has a watermark, that means we've probably seen it a thousand times before and won't find it all that funny. So save yourself the bandwidth and skip the image.
Lastly, there's crossposters. People who use multiple sites and let drama overflow between them like they're all one board. They aren't. Now, I run OverTalk, I encourage people to use multiple sites. The thing is, these sites are different. If they weren't there wouldn't be much point in indexing them. But when you use multiple sites, you need to understand that not everyone uses the same ones you do, so they may not know whatever happened to someboard, or care about the latest drama between 2 people that don't post here. It's ok to talk about stuff from other boards, but make sure people know that it's not related to TC when they see the headline, and don't try to shoehorn whatever grudge you have against someone from elsewhere into every tangential rant when it's irrelevant to the board you're posting it on. Don't bring minichan's dirty laundry here, and we won't bring tinychan's there. Especially don't bring anything from shitchan over here, or I may just start banning for that.
And while I'm at it, I'd specifically like to address the following:
Syntax- we know Matt's a sick fuck, that's why he's perma-banned. we don't need to hear you talk about it
ducky- if you can't filter out twitter topics when you post here, maybe it would be better if you stuck to using your boyfriend's site
fuchs- would it kill you to be less of a ghost poster? I mean, if that's how you like it, ok, but sometimes it's good to let people know you actually do participate here
Gary- glad to see you back

That's already been brought up in the past. Frankly, I'm not very concerned about anything. I've got nothing to hide, nor am I necessarily intimidated by those who frequent TC. (Yes I know that's a naive/uncaring/stupid thing to assume, but seriously. Don't really care lol)
I guarantee syntax is keeping written notes on every namefag here.

Yo I R discrimination not in biz of incriminating.
Only a select
few are eligible to my sticky note file. My last bit of incriminating evidence was outing Autphag for admitting his mother worshiped Jesus the Jew.
I simply implied noing better that his mother was a Cathy~licker and he said no no she was Protestant ...
