If you don't want a spoiler lookaway!
The only character I really cared about in this third season was Sunil.
The Indian Widower kept in the house of his son who had married a secular socialite American.
In his last session it turns out he lied to the Paul, his therapist, about a number of things as part of his plan to get himself deported.
He wanted to go back to Calcutta -
But as the reality that his patient had been lying to him hit Paul - I felt it.
After 6-7 characters who had been truthful and ended with some conclusion -
I as the viewer who had invested in Sunil felt the betrayal as well. He wasted my time!
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
