Shortly, 2 teams will contest the World Series of Baseball. That's the World Series, not the local leagues. And all 4 teams in the running to make the final games are American.

@OP
Even the Canadians have baseball teams and if the Canadians approve of something then you are doing it right.

Basic rundown of sports in America
Basketball
> Dominated by those of African descent.
> Basic premise: put something in a hole.
> Skill emphasis: running, jumping, throwing
> Typical scoring range: 50 to 100 points.
Football
> More or less evenly split between Africans and Caucasians.
> Basic premise: kick something between 2 huge posts or carry it with you to the end of the field.
> Skill emphasis: running, kicking, hugging, head-butting, shoulder-slamming.
> Typical scoring range: 10 to 40 points.
Baseball
> Most racially diverse; includes Caucasians, Africans, Latinos, and East-Asians.
> Basic premise: contains too many elements to condense into a simple premise.
> Skill emphasis: running, coordination, aim, agility, speed, strength.
> Typical scoring range: 0 to 10 points.
Hockey
> Almost exclusively Caucasian participants.
> Basic premise: wrestle with opponents while walking on ice and wearing cumbersome and restrictive body armor; occasionally slide a little piece of rubber between a guys legs.
> Skill emphasis: speed, strength, aim.
> Typical scoring range: 0 to 5 points.
Soccer (international football)
> More diverse than baseball, but who cares because no Americans.
> Basic premise: kick a ball between a guys legs.
> Skill emphasis: running, kicking, not being American.
> Typical scoring range: zzz to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz snores.
Conclusion:
Basketball is just an excuse for black people to apply the survival skills they learned in the ghetto to something less destructive. Football is an excuse for fat people to call themselves athletes while beating each other up. Baseball manages to incorporate enough different elements to be somewhat interesting but lacks the testosterone rush. Hockey is all the brutality of football combined with a frozen soccer field, most of the skills required by baseball, a bent cricket bat, and the rubber left over a from a blown-out NASCAR tire. And nobody cares about soccer.·Anonymous B — 12.9 years ago, 2 minutes later, 4 hours after the original post[T] [B] #321,343

That's why they call it The Fall Classic, so those World Newspaper robber barons cannot steal money from them.
