You can buy it in lots of forms, but powdered or whole leaf seems to be the best stuff. I hunted around a lot to find something besides the mystery crap marketed to 12 yr olds at headshops. I've just tossed some powder in hot water the last couple days and it's very nice.

I'm new to this and I don't want to seem like a shill. So without pissing anyone off, I'd suggest searching for domestic sites that sell only Kratom, don't have lots of crazy names ("like super wowy buttfuck Kratom") for their products, and are cool with answering any of your questions first. Ethnobotanical is a good keyword. Not "legal high" and such.

Edit: Also look for sites that let you buy samples. There are a bunch of strains to try out.

Tkk if you're in the states is who I'd suggest as far as price/consistency goes.

Second OP on the sampler bit, or just buy an oz of a few different kinds. I've never been thrilled with any of the extracts I've tried and just prefer the powdered leaf encaspulated or as tea.

A lot fucking better. It's not a spirit journey life changing hippy trip. It's not heroin or coke. But it's nearly perfect for my purpose because I wanted an alcohol substitute and weed is too risky an option for me. If we're throwing out sites, I got mine from http://www.mmmspeciosa.com/

While on the subject of alcohol and kratom, that's an unpleasant mix.

Yeah I'm trying to only use rx stuff with a few goodies here and there mixed in. Nothing that lingers like cannabis right now though.

Kratom is a decent herb and has therapeutic as well as recreational value. Like you said it's not h or coke but it still isn't awful. Affordable as well.

Yeah, I hear most people can't handle that mix. I'm off the sauce now though. Any other herbs you'd recommend? I tried Kava (quality root). Choked that shit down daily for two weeks trying to get past the "reverse tolerance." No joy.

There aren't many ethnobotanicals I'm all that interested in right now (I still want to try iboga, ayahuasca, and khat). Kava is occasionally nice but the quality of the roots can vary greatly. Mulungu seemed like it might have potential but I think it would take a considerable amount of the bark or an extract to be worthwhile. Khanna is ok if you haven't tried it. If you haven't experimented with any cacti like peruvian torch, san pedro, or mescaline in general, try it.

I'm still interested in new and rare RCs as they become available. My current favorite is still MXE but I enjoy dissociatives and think that MXE/k have more potential to be therapeutic than we know. The most recent RC I've tried was acetyl fentanyl and I would advise anyone to avoid it. It's rubbish.

I've done a lot of pharmies as far as benzos, opiates, hypnotics, barbs, stims, etc go so now I'm more interested in psychedelics again. I'm always on the lookout for 2c's I haven't tried. Especially interested in 2cd.
