next time you crash a dead satellite, make it hit morbid's apartment. thank you.

Currently working on a different Satellite - A Geo and it has everyone else stumped and I just no no no I can figure it out buuuuuuuuutttt

Tons of people agree with my hypothetical scenario, so at least I have people on my side. Its a TWT (traveling wave tube) issue and yes they still use Tubes in space.

I also have this side gig which is slow moving. It sounds crazy but NASA funded a study on sending up and attaching small Satellites to older almost dead GEO's to keep them going to cut costs.

Kinda like slapping a new coat of paint on an old car and adding stuff to engine to boost performance.

and yes yes I did that er Other Post. Buddy in Australia mailed me the Gif and he is getting married and wants my opinion on if he should propose this idea to the bride and her bridesmaids.

Oh and its clear Morbid wants to get sloppy 2nds

AND AND What did quack say that required a Mod Edit?

how did you learn all the physics stuff? I mean communicating with a satellite and reprogramming or rewiring it is one thing I can comprehend, but how the heck do you know where to point your jets to make it go to some other orbit? I hope its not trial and error lol

also how does this work in general... I cant imagine that the physical models are precise enough to keep a satellite where u want it to be for a long enough time. to me this seems like throwing a paper airplane and then using a hairdrier with 5 seconds worth of energy to make it hit a golf ball 300 feet away from you...

Its very rare I fire fuel without a huge amount of computer simulation. In fact often it takes a supercomputer in San Jose to run simulated trials and yes errors. It ends up being an error band.

The new LEO's with a 15 year life tyme have of course more fuel but one fires a bit and lets it drift and drift and drift for wot could be Months n months to get close to the final orbit. Combo of Flywheels and the most minimum use of fuel. Only tyme its burn burn is when one has to move a spare into a failed Satellite position to keep cash flow.

So the trade off of life tyme vs cash flow takes a great deal of thought on paper and then runs on supercomputer.

Physics is hard core text book stuff. At least math works. Now that said its not perfect cause there are so many variables like cosmic effects and gunk in space. 2nd and 3rd order components that supercomputers get more better with tyme modeling. Little details like weight change or balance re space crap hitting the bird.

If I wanted sloppy seconds, I would be getting sloppy seconds, not on TC making quack cry. Only quack thinks being an Internet tough guy will get him girls.
