Jan, 64, and Monica, 48, had never conceived children due to the fact that Jan already had two children from a previous marriage. During their marriage, Monica was thought of as a sort of "big sister" to Jan's children, but murmurs of deception arose after Monica was seen at nightclubs scantily clad and later caught receiving "amorous messages" from other men.
"A friend told me that he had heard that Monica was actually a sex-changed man. I could not believe it. My son heard similar rumors," Jan said.
A confrontation between Jan and his wife led to Monica's confession and subsequent melee. Police were called to the scene.
Jan is currently undergoing psychiatric therapy and attempting to have his marriage annulled.
