Hummmmmm actually you are correct. Oldest and I have many that are 30 year old Single Malts. NOT that this is necessarily a good thing based on some recent reading.

Reminds me I need to buy a new bottle of Balvenie 12 year old to compare in a blind tasting to a bottle I have that is only 1/4 full. Need to see if anyone can detect any oxidation.

Not about to blow the $$$ to test this on a 30 year old Scotch. I have been gifted on one 54 year old Single Malt but never bought anything older then 30.

Yea I have a bottle of that and I think even Trader Joes sells it at the best price.

I have not been to a Single Malt tasting in a few years but did one hell of a tasting in San Francisco with the office manager of old Binaca.com and her husband. He was a Brit and took me to a bar that had the best selection ever. Ordered them in a rage of Smoky to not so much. Capped off a Seafood dinner and I picked the wine from a great local wine store and restaurant waived the corkage cause they were impressed with the choice I made. AND AND Get this - Voxeralla the office manager - She requested a RED instead of a White and damn that was a most perfect experiment.

Great memories cause Voxeralla is no longer on Planet Earth.

Actually I did make money on that event and considering this topic re a breakup - That is why I made money - I had more background then most on the Exocet missile. And it was never part of my work but I did keep up with its development and had a chance to view lots of stuff on it. I was in France on a wine tasting trip- Trip was over and I was dumped in USA by a GF - and I decided to stay and was hired by a TV operation to give them background and that was just after the Brit destroyer was taken out by the Exocet.

But it was not a killing but working in France with a fast work visa wood never have happened if not for a concordance of several events.

GF who dumped me wanted me back butbut but long story.
