Those are tough options. I can't pick just one.

Fuck off, Bobby2Comix. No one cares about your shitty dinosaur bands.
Overall I have to go with Lateralus.
Opiate is just too short, being an EP.
Undertow is fine, although the seven minutes of cricket noise between the end of the musical part of Disgustipated and the answering machine message at the end is kind of tedious to have on my mp3 player. I ended up shortening it to about 45 seconds of crickets leading up to the message.
I also can't figure out how they made all the interim tracks only 1 second each. As I understand, a the Redbook standard for audio CDs dictates that the shortest possible track length is 2 seconds. Although, checking the case I notice it does lack the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" stamp that all Redbook CDs have. I guess it is possible to make compatible CDs that violate the standard.
Ænima is good, but some of the interludes I don't care for much. Cesaro Summability just gets off on the wrong foot with me because of the baby noise. (-)Ions is a kind of limited soundscape that lacks enough interwoven elements to keep me interested.
Salival is good overall, but the automated answering system on LA Municipal Court gets increasingly whatthefuck as it rambles on. I can't tell if it's supposed to be a spoof or an actual phonetrap. The cover of No Quarter is a perfect choice for Tool, as it's not only long but also relatively obscure as main-catalog Zeppelin songs go. I also like than it's not a verbatim lyrical cover (Like Evanescence playing Smashing Pumpkins "Zero"), nor is it a slight alteration for relevance reasons (Five Finger Death Punch playing Bad Company's namesake). It's an almost complete re-write lyrically, that reflects the darkening atmosphere in our culture since the original was recorded. And it wasn't exactly an upbeat song to start with.
I like Lateralus because of the way it paces itself, starting small and building up tension or elements in waves and then engulfing you. There's interludes, but they're shorter and more
avant musique than
avant garde. (If that's even a term.) I would deduct a point for the 3 minutes of negative silence between Triad and Faaip de Oiad. I know they wanted to use up all the apace their label would let them have, but using silent filler just seems like cheating. I suppose if they just wanted to make Faaip de Oiad seem like it's missing when the listener gets to the end of Triad and hears silence, that's fine, but then don't talk about how the record company would only give you 79 minutes of space so you left 2 seconds extra room at the end.
10,000 Days is also good. I just can't wrap my head around the whole process of making the puzzle track "10,000 Days". I had wondered if Viginti Tres was an intentional referece to the number 3, but But Wings for Marie and Wings part 2 both sound like full songs and the lyrics aren't nonsensical,So how is it that those 2 can fuse together without creating gibberish, yet Viginti Tres contains relatively nothing of musical resemblance, aside from one very muddy vocal about halfway through which is indistinguishable as a word.

I agree with everything you've said. Though I prefer Lateralus as well, Undertow is a more fun (easier) listen, say when I'm driving or something. You can't just listen to Lateralus, you've gotta analyze that shit.
