Dude seriously, you gotta ditch the cigs. Pot can open your mind, but tobacco will only shut down your lungs. You're basically paying someone to slowly strangle you over the course of half a century. There's plenty of more efficient ways to kill yourself.

That's why I have tobacco plants. Once they mature, I won't be paying for tobacco. Just the costs of the tubes (5$/two hundred cigs) and then I'll have my own all-natural tobacco.

That's pretty neat. It's still an awful habit though. You should document your progress, it'd be interesting to follow. I haven't done much gardening outside of cannabis and tomatoes (they have similar nutrient/growing needs) but it was kind of relaxing tbh.

That's what I like about this. It grows well here, especially with the heat and sunlight needed. I've tried some of it, and it's a tad harsh, but I'm working on it. There are a lot of guides on it online. I'll be planting tomatoes next year, and hopefully cannabis soon, too.

All outdoors? Indoor growing is a lot of fun too plus you have more control over the environment but it's more expensive. The FL weather is great for cannabis and the only problem I've ever had with it outdoors has been pest related. Good luck on your grows, bud. It really is surprisingly rewarding. Hopefully you're in a place where you can cultivate it for medicinal purposes.

I haven't had many problems with growing indoors anyway but my first few attempts were a lot of trial and error. You've gotta have decent lights after you get past the vegetative state and having adequate air circulation is a must. Lining the walls with mylar (not tinfoil) or having white walls helps. A walk-in closet is about ideal. Soil is easier when you're first starting out imo but you want to cover the floor with a tarp or something so you don't have water sitting on the floor (especially if you have carpet). Other issues that can come up are easy enough to deal with (getting the right balance of nutes for instance) and you really do have a an awesome support network online with a lot of very knowledgeable people that can save you a lot of trouble.

Last time I tried my efforts were destroyed because of a massive area power-outage post-April 27th (day tornados destroyed Hackleburg and Tuscaloosa, but managed to not hit U of A. Seriously, though, fuck that place.) and the plants died due to no light, and no-one being here to tend them.

Ugh that sucks.
I botched an early grow through inexperience and not being there for a couple weeks even though I had everything on timers and a house sitter. I had one male left that I had missed somehow (was doing a SOG grow) and it ruined the entire harvest. If they had been outside it probably would've been less catastrophic but in a confined space like that it was no good. Instead of starting over I just decided to let them mature since I had already invested a lot of time in them. I did get a ton of seeds when I was done but I ended up broadcasting them and that was another failed experiment. Tried to salvage whatever I could from the plants but they simply weren't potent enough to be of any real value apart from maybe as ornamental junk. It was a good learning experience despite the frustration and some wasted cash.
