Topic: Is this free money?

The information is kind of vague and doesn't really explain where the money comes from. Is it a scam? I left the tab open overnight and it says I've got $.04 which isn't much, but I leave my computer on 24/7 seeding torrents anyway so maybe it could come to something? I haven't created an account so I don't know if I can even do anything with this so-called money. What if kimmo used this to fund AT?

Its a low rent Kickstarter site.
And NO you will not get any money unless you put up a project and others pay in2 it via pay pal.

So it's a silly javascript counting ploy to make people think their accumulating something that isn't really there?

> Anyone asking if "Bitcoins" "Picocents" (worthless virtual currency) are accepted as donations will be immediately banned from now on for being an obvious troll.
Also, a millionth of a cent is a microcent, not a picocent. Un-fucking-believable! Rude and stupid cunts.

On the other hand in about a two year period recently I found a source of free money from banks. About $1300-1400 and just got an offer for $150 more

That's just abusing sign-up bonuses. Don't you still have to maintain a minimum balance on each of those accounts? That's basically locking up 1/3 to 1/4 of the sign-up bonus. I doubt they'd let you open an account, then withdraw it and close the account the next day.

Obviously it's different if you're the one running the scam.

The first one was from Chase bank n maybe 3 years ago. Offer was $150 to open a checking account with no strings attached. Took 3 months for the $150 to kick in. IF I had held out it wood have gone up to $200
Later offers for credit cards from Chase was truly odd. $50 to open a Freedom card so I did that. Then the Sapphire card for $50 and that was one hell of a deal cause I used that as my main card for about one year with nice kick backs as rewards. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - One ring max on phone for a USA live banker who could do one hell of a lot on phone. Even told I could open 3 total separate accounts and get the $50 sign up.
Other banks with other deals. My bank pushed me for the B of A rewards card which has become my primary credit card re they were losing so much biz to Chase n other rewards cards they decided to be super competitive. They gave me $100 to open that account.
I hit web looking for other bank deals and took those with minimum restrictions - Current Chase deal $150 if I deposit $10,000 in a savings account and hold for like 90 days.
I am no longer going for these deals but I do look at the fine print on each one in mail NOW.
I really really needed the money at the tyme

Yeah it's usually $10,000 minimum now. I remember pre 2007 economic collapse it was just a couple hundred and you'd still get $100 after minimum waiting period. Did this several times, but those days are long gone.

Here too, but I've been holed up inside my climate-controlled environment trying to come up with something to do. If only I had the ocean! Someday :)
