I had an alligator bratwurst once. It was kind of spicy, and I didn't care for it much. I have a fairly high standard of what bratwurst should taste like though, and any deviation leaves me feeling cheated.

Most of the Gator I have eaten was tail meat ground and deep fried. Cajun style.

I think Cajuns can grind up shoe leather spice it up and deep fry it and it wood taste the same as Gator.

Its more a bragging rights kind of thing to say you have eaten Gator.

Trust me on this. Yes some do it as chunks or nuggets. Its so damn chewy that way. Ground is the only acceptable way to deal with that meat. Also the only flavor is the spices.

They could make it look like a filet mignon and I still would not eat it. I have talked to people who swear that it tastes good but some people swear that mountain oysters taste good too. Key word being taste. I don't have a taste for dinosaur.

I suspect if you have ever eaten hot dogs you have eaten more then just the mountain oyster parts.

I often trek to a local monster Asian supermarket. In the meat case they have piled up Pig Uteri and I often wonder wot that is used4 - I suspect some of the Chinese Dumplings just might?
