In I was in West LA a few weeks ago stopped by to get gas. Young 20 something black asking for money (for food of course) no one gives him anything. Preppy looking guy in expensive sports car pulls in, black kid gives him same line white guy invites him into store tells him he'll buy him whatever he wants to eat. Black stares at him says something like "fuck that" then walks away.

That piece is kind of neat. I don't have much in the way of ~~nazi~~ WWII memorbilla but I did get one of these little pendant things thrown into a trade w/ some AR magazines. I honestly have no idea where it's at now but this picture is more or less identical to what I have.

Wow, very cool. My old man inherited a lot of this stuff from his grandfather. That last pic is a grave marker, the name of the dead nazi was on it so the gi's would rip the name off and throw the name back on the grave, taking the marker.

We have helmets, scopes, all kinds of stuff. We're building a museum in the basement.

That's really awesome. I'm building a museum in my ~~dungeon~~ basement too but it's more an homage to my vic-... nvm.

We have a couple ornamental sword/dagger things (I'm not really familiar with them and honestly not sure what front he was on) that my great grandfather had taken as trophies but they're stored at my grandmothers house. I wish he would've lived long enough for me to get his account of what he went through. My dad's father was also in WWII as a pilot but he ate a bullet because grandma was a slut so his record is also lost to the sands of time. It might be interesting to try and explore the history there but I'm not sure how to even start that project. That needs to be added to my to-do list.

Oral histories add so much and I still have questions I would love to to ask but too late.

Genealogy sites are great sources of information I found. Some one posted an old family story I had heard since childhood, but where it was my great-grandfather, it was her great-uncle. I have no idea who this person could be and unfortunately didn't reply to my post.
