Topic: work related silliness

i get off work friday night, get drunk at the club, come home, and sleep. around 9am pro super comes knockin' at my door, im too drunkenly asleep to hear it and one of my roommates opens the door. pro soup gets in, wakes me up and tells me there's a missing tool (spline box-end combo 1/4-5/16ths wrench) from a CTK i checked out thursday (this means the box was never turned in since then, but just line-transferred from me to another personnel). he asks me if i went over the box and was able to determine whether all the tools that were supposed to be in that CTK were in fact there. i don't remember anything seeing as how i just checked the CTK out for that HAS and was tasked to work in another HAS. i don't even remember looking over that box. he informs me to get dressed and head into work to help support look for the tool. he leaves, i shower, get dressed, and head into work. i get with support to get some inside info on what the fuck is going on. support tells me that they'll print out a sheet listing everyone who checked that CTK out this week. pro soup gets the list and goes out hunting down the people on their list knockin' on dorm rooms all the while i'm just trying to think what might have happened to that tool and help out the weekend duty crew with their job. pro soup comes checkin' up on us and asks me to think hard and tell him if i can confirm that tool was there to begin with when i got the keys to that CTK. i told him i could not. he then frustratingly explains that because of my lack of ability to account for the tools in that box, i'm the reason why the jet in that HAS is going to be impounded. feel like shit. he leaves to go do whatever the fuck he does and i got a-talkin' with the weekend duty crew and they remember needing that tool friday, but since it wasn't there they ended up borrowing one from E&E's mini box. support goes and searches every box in all the HASs, every box they have in support and confirm that it's not there. i work with the weekend duty crew until 6pm. pro soup shows up and informs all of the engines crew will meet up in the conference room at the hotel near the dorms at 7pm. 7pm rolls up i'm there at the meeting with anyone and everyone who has touched that CTK this week along with pro soup, chief, and LT. everyone talks explain that the tool was there when they checked out the box and when they checked it in. but when engines got ahold of the box, the tool was not there, one of the engine troops on swing shift mistakes one of tools written up on the mil that it was broken and removed (BR), but what he read was someone's intials WBR and plus it was written up for another tool with a 5/16ths box end. his mistake caused him to think the tool was in fact broken and removed and all our line-transfers between engines' personnel's day and swing shift were just by word of mouth - ("is the box good?" "yeah, it's all there") and that way of transfer continued into weekend duty crew's shift. pro soup and chief tell all of engines to come in sunday to work and look for that tool. i'm mad confused 'cause i was doing another job and i really don't know anything with that CTK. anyway, get drunk and sleep and show up at work sunday (today) along with the rest of engines and a bunch of specialists who managed to get word from pro soup the night before to come in and help find this tool. i go behind one of the HASs next to support's HAS and i have myself a smoke with a friend of mine, afterwards, we head towards support and everyone is telling us, we're going home 'cause the tool was found. i asked where it was and who found it and i was told by one of the specs that he was headed to the HAS with the missing tool and he saw one of support's crew climbing up a maintenance stand and started looking at the exhaust after he pulled off the exhaust cover, then the dude was all "found it". i'll tell you what, that fucking tool was not up there since we were working on the exhaust all day yesterday. this dude says he found it underneath one of the outer flaps. bull. fucking. shit. mother fucker is covering up support's ass. at least that's what it looks like. i wasted an entire saturday trying to look after some shit that support caused. that's what it looks like, too. i pray those mother fuckers get their peepee spanked on monday. shit feels corrupt as fuck. done.

> Just check shit next time.
i just checked out the key for the box for a fellow engine troop and ended up working elsewhere, although you are right, should have checked it myself
> Most supers are dicks who are afraid that the SMO is going to ass fuck them if anything goes wrong.
mine is cool as fuck on duty and off, but when shit goes down...different person altogether, you're right.
> The next time you answer a redball do all you can to GAB the motherfucker.
oh hell fucking yes i will.
@previous (C)
it worked out, somewhat, fact is, one of support's own "found it" on the area of the engine that we were working on so we'll see if this silliness will bleed into monday and involve us engine troops. either way, it's not going to stop me from drinking right now. and yes, stupid people...fuck'em
