789chan era is hard to replace. They had all the visibility because of the domain name. It also helped that we had tons of lulcows and people willing to chip in content. Now a person posts something interesting and expects the community to do all the work.

It's been 8 months since the website closed down. I can't change the past actions on 789chan. I agree with that /tc/ shit. When an admin of your website is doing stupid shit on tinychat and you do nothing about it. It says a lot about the leadership(non-confrontational). It honestly became /Rika/ because he was the only dumbass just to keep coming back over and over again. The website would of closed 3-6 months prior, if rika wasn't around. Sean was sick of paying for a website that wasn't entertaining him anymore and causing him more pain than enjoyment. Even though the end wasn't as fun. Like Chris Chan in 2008-2009. I had a lot of fun witnessing the many crashes of the internet.

Well, it lost it's focus because it's main attraction went to the wayside and there was no turning back. It's the same story with a lot of single-minded driven imageboards. That is, when the star of the show dries up, it turns to user cannibalization and then becomes either stagnant (no longer serving its purpose and therefore a burden on those operating it) or something entirely different. Many said that Sean could have handed over the keys gently to someone else rather than forcibly just shutting it down and driving the userbase somewhere else, but we saw how that clusterfuck turned out. No real regrets, just minor annoyance at how it all went down without much prior notice.
