No matter what religion you follow, no matter which god(s) you choose to worship, you are on the short end of the stick in this deal of life. An atheist would have lived his life happy and god-free, will come to grips with reality early on and die comfortably in "knowing" (whether he is right or wrong) that there isn't a god. Religious people however, will spend their lives worshipping and worrying, pissing people off on the Internet and in real life, and contributing nothing to a new society where people aren't ruled by stigmas and ancient stories.
