In the State of FL if you are assaulted and reasonably fear for your life you have the right to use the means available to you to defend yourself, which is what Zimmerman did.

I watched a great deal of the trial. I just double checked to see if there was one shred of evidence that the kid was up to no good. NADA ZILCH ZIP
I have done my share of Jury duty but never a murder. Most difficult one was deciding if someone should be released re Mental state (We let him go cause there was not one bit of evidence he was a threat to himself or anyone else)
Off to Bank and maybe a minor celebration or Heartburn depending on how to fix a bad bank error that could be costly 2me.

It was very moving... but yeah, doesn't make what Zimmerman did illegal. The million hoodlum marchers for the most part are just as clueless as the occupiers were.
