Guess my love was not more than affection
And the moon isn't really the sun
Its dim light is a humble reflection
Of a story that hasn't begun

And your eyes mean no more than they're saying
And my words mean no more than you hear
It's just I thought the music was playing
And you wanted to find someone dear

Must seem funny to be that discouraged
Over times that brought me no romance
But you know, it does take lots of courage
To admit it and spoil the dance

Lights went out
Clock pointing midnight
So darkness embraced all
And even the parrot
Became silent

I sat on my window-sil
And watched funny little dots
Which danced in my eyes
After staring at street lamps
For several minutes

Nothing was important
And I felt that even your voice
Or a sudden phone call
Wouldn't wake me
From my quiet slumber...

Talented Girl
You told me you can sing
And I had reasons to agree
For you have instantly performed
Some dull opera for me

Then you said you are a writer
And you read me your whole book
Having added you're an artist
Almost dead I had to look

Other things which I remember
That you cook and knit and dance
Guess the only thing you can't do
Is have fun and some romance

Boat
Gently and softly
It takes you away,
Away from the shore
Into caramel bay

To stare at the lilies
And watch in the sky
A bright yellow comet
Fly suddenly by

The boat and the river
They seem to be friends
One day you will sail
To far away lands

Carpet
I have an old carpet
But it's really a map
Though you can hardly
Find Paris on it.
But then there are
Many wonders
Like Elephant Empire
And Roses Republic
Which you can't
See on usual maps.
Earth geography
Is so boring,
Don't you think?
Look at that corner -
See? It's a bird.
I think it's magical
And it can take you
To all those fabulous lands.
And if you smell it
It smells dust.
I think it is also magical
Because you thought it'd
Make you sneeze
But it doesn't.
