PlainBoards.com founder challenges future and existing imageboard owners, including the wildly popular 4chan's moot. "The web in general is moving towards centralized logins," states the plainboards.com sysop, who for obvious reasons, chooses to remain anonymous(his site has been called the 'un-facebook'). "This move by 4chan to use a centralized, facebook-based login system is reminiscent of the tracking and censorship committed by the centralized commenting platform DISQUS. The danger is that it could begin blocking domains that offer a superior experience or 'edgy' content out of jealousy and paranoia, or just because they feel like it, as has happened previously with the system in question." "It's DISQUSting," he concludes. Little is known about the anonymous founder of PlainBoards.com, except that he is definitely NOT Kimmo Alm. "Although this board may appear to have some similarities to a perviously existing anonymous board(which I have the utmost respect for), it has nothing to do with the AnonTalk software or its founder Kimmo Alm," a notice on the website states.
