Sig P229 or another nothing special colt 1911?
Im trading my P14-45 and leaning towards the sig even though it's in .40S&W.
I might get an HK P30 later but I want a new full sized carry piece. Worst case scenario I'm going back to a glock 19 or a glock 20.
I'll post pics later.

Isn't a glock 20 a 10mm? Do want! I used to have a glock 22 that I traded in towards an HK USP compact. Don't know much about Colt or Sig but I love my HK. Have a Browning Hi-power too. That's my favorite.

Handguns kind of bore me. I'd like a carbine AR-15 as a varmint rifle, though. Everything I have is for larger game or bird shooting.

I'd like an AR-15. I do have a Ruger 22-250 that would be an awesome small game rifle. I just use it for target shooting. I've thought about hunting turkey and grouse, but cleaning a bird seems messy as fuck. I'd use my 12 gauge for birds, but my 22-250 would be grate for antelope.

The HK USPc is a nice gun but im more of a fan of the P30. Yeah the g20 is 10mm but I'll get the .357sig barrel for it too. I've owned a glock 17, 19, and 26. The glock 26 I gave to the missus and while I like the 17 it's a 2nd gen. I mean it still handles great and functions flawlessly but I'd like a 4th gen g19 or g20. I kinda regret letting my g19 go but I had multiple carry pistols at the time so it wasn't a big deal. I could hit a golfball on top of a beer bottle at about 25ft with that piece of Austrian goodness (usually without breaking the bottle).
I'm a little on the fence about browning but I do like the browning hi-power. The only browning we've got right now is a 300winmag, I forget the particular model but it's a lot of fun.
Colt and Sig are both pretty respectable brands as far as handguns go.

My USPc is a .357. I fucking love it. So much power for a 9mm round. I want the 10mm for carrying in the wilderness, but I guess most readily available 10mm rounds have the same powder as a .40. No idea where to get full powered rounds for a 10mm. I also have a Kahr PM9 that I carry whenever I'm in a shady part of town.

I carry mine so it's a little different. The only AR on my wish list right now is the noveske diplomat.
I've got a RRA-LAR15 though and it's been an excellent AR. Been through a few bushmasters and they're alright but not my favorite brand.
@266,905 (B)
It's not so bad plus you can pay someone to do it for you. You can always get a .22lr conversion kit depending on what kind of game you're hunting. I usually hunt ducks and the like with an 870 or an 11-87 (both 12ga).

I have a really sweet Browning 22lr target pistol. The barrel is like 14 inches and it has a sweet scope. The only modification I'd make to my 22-250 is maybe get the barrel threaded, but I dunno.

.357sig is an excellent round but the 10mm stuff I'm looking at is a little hotter than your standard .40s&w.
I like some of Kahr's stuff. I was debating on trying the kimber solo but my last kimber was so finicky I don't know if I'll waste the money on one. I've finger fucked a few Kahrs but I'd rather carry a g26 or the always faithful mak. I bought a couple failtecs just to try em and was disappointed although the kSG looks interesting.

I wouldn't personally unless you have a very reputable armorer in your area. I've seen some ruined barrels by assholes playing with tap and die sets trying to fit used oil filter surpressors to their POS.

I'm a big fan of the 1911 but if you've already have one, I'd look into a Ruger 9mm. Never owned one but my buddy loves his.

I was gifted a Ruger P89 and my brother bought a Ruger P95. They shoot great, still not my favorite gun but they're decent (plus American made).
I'll post pics of what I'm looking at.

Here's my issue with the 1911.
It's a Colt upper but the frame is Essex. :\

This is what I'm trading. It needs to be duracoated or parkerized. It's a double stack 1911 14(+1) of .45acp but too heavy to carry around unless you're hunting hogs.

I leave a rifled choke in my 870 full time because it just isn't a great waterfowl gun. Entry level Mossberg pumps are awesome, but if you're hunting somewhere you do a lot of shooting in cold weather all you do is beat up your shoulder. I used to use a Browning A5, but it is freaking heavy and have moved away from recoil driven semiauto to gas operated, a Winchester X2.
My 11-87 will never be shot. First trigger pull would cost a few thousand dollars... it is a Ducks Unlimited gun of the year that I won in a raffle. Between my dad and I over the course of three years we won like 11 guns, it was crazy. My Mossberg is one of them, it has a DU logo etched in the side.
If you ever do the spring snow goose hunt you'll give up the pump shotgun. No limit/no bag limit hunts leave a bruise.

I traded my mossberg 500A and sold my mossberg defender. We've got a couple 870s. I have a Remington 11-87 but I must admit I have abused it a bit but it's still a beautiful shotgun. That's awesome though about your wins. The only stuff I've ever won is from skeet shooting and competitive pistol shooting but it was just cash (oh and several turkey shoots but there's no skill involved there).
I think the only browning in the family (it's my dad's) is a .300winmag but it's a blast to shoot. The muzzlebrake is aftermarket but you barely notice the recoil but damn does it make it loud.
Where do you guys hunt at? It's mostly deer, ducks, and hogs here. Hogs are all year round and you don't even need a license to shoot them here because their population has gone way up. I usually take out my 30-30 or AR for hog hunting though. I know a lot of people prefer a larger caliber but if you're a semi-decent shot .223 is adequate (5rd mag limit for hunting unless you're on private property). Hell you can kill a hog with a .22lr if you can aim worth a damn, you just might have to track the blood a few yards.

I haven't done much since my dad's shoulders gave out. Not that I can't hunt on my own.
Spring geese Missouri and Iowa, coyotes all over the midwest, pheasants in a national wildlife refuge that opens up late season near Aberdeen, SD.
Getting back into fishing. Grew up getting my line tangled around the motor of people who ended up with fishing shows on tv. Hunting has lost a bit of its spark lately for me, other than coyotes.
At least with fish you can catch and release. Its cheating to fish lakes you scuba in though.

Ah sorry to hear that about your dad. I understand what you mean to a degree though I think... I've always found it's more fun hunting with a buddy although I don't mind a little solitude out in the woods either.
I still fish occasionally (both salt and freshwater). The primary freshwater spot I fish at has a nice little underground cave close to it (about a 20min ride from where we launch) but I still haven't got too close to it, it's close to a natural spring so it's pretty crystal clear there. I want to go take a local scuba diving course and get a shiny little certificate but it just hasn't happened yet.
