This. Though I wouldn't consider my input important, as I hate politics in general. Mainly because of the dumbass extremes on each side.
+Anonymous F — 13.4 years ago, 1 minute later, 7 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #256,088
Because all religion is stupid and pointless anyway.

I find no point to be against or for religion. But I think people that fight over it are dumbasses.

Fighting over anything without resolution or progress in thought is dumb, if there's an argument at least be socratic about it and solve something

@256,102 (Beebs !CwGIngerQo)
There is a point to being against religion, when its used to push harm public policies, and ignorance.

But both sides tend to never end if there is a debate on the topic. That's why I stay away from them.
Atheists' last resort: You're a dumbass and I'm done talking.
Christians' last resort: Faith/you're a dumbass and I'm not done talking.

There isn't a point because neither side will ever significantly effect the other. They just fight. Nonstop.

Exactly. Why can't everyone just chill and let people believe whatever the hell they want? And yes. That goes for Theists/Atheists alike.
·Anonymous F — 13.4 years ago, 1 minute later, 21 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #256,120

Because false beliefs are used to hurt people. Like closing down abortion clinics, and teaching abstinence only sex education.

Well you must realize the progressive (mostly liberal) side is the more science-oriented of the two (as opposed to zealot/bigot/religious) and is making the more important steps in history and technological progression, as well as relating to and best affecting the younger generations.
The republican party is falling apart, although both liberal and conservative values are valid and effective.

If' the person who has this belief wants to
fight over it. If both had the mindset that I just mentioned, no one would give a damn. I dislike humans. Generally speaking.

They all do want to fight over it, and push their mythology onto everyone else. Its always been that way, and when non theists push back, they're told that they;re being too militant. Which is ridiculous.

I agree with you there. And I can see how atheism would be more logical and easy to believe, but in my opinion, I just think the fight between religion/anti-religion is useless and a huge waste of time on both sides.

I don't see a problem in atleast getting my point out in the open. If it gets to the point to where they get obnoxious, then ill lose interest. Though I've already lost it anyway, since my point
is out in the open.
