The board now supports "Ajax" requests for common tasks that you don't want to load another page for, such as watching a topic, bumping a topic, watching a poll or spotlighting a poll. Will be implemented for the non-elaborate abuse report "buttons" as well... and anything else I've forgotten about.

This technically works like the social voting, except it doesn't require Ajax/JS support. If Ajax is not supported, it will fall back to the old JavaScript way. (If JavaScript is not supported at all, it falls back to a HTML form, just as before.)

I've wanted to do this for a very long time. It should make the board more pleasant to use. Report any bugs...

Important: New feature: "emergency brake". This will be linked to in "stuff" for anyone with 500 posts or more, and enables you to "shut down" the board at any time. Nobody will be able to post or even view it. The obvious purpose is for active regulars to be able to spot any "social" (non-technical) attacks, such as fucktard wiseguys, and simply cut everyone off until I come back. I might connect some sort of notification to this which physically wakes me up if I'm asleep when it happens. Abuse = perma-ban!

Sysop is away right now and one out of two things have happened:

* A trusted non-moderator has pulled the emergency brake because there is a rogue wiseguy or some other kind of "social" raid going on.
* A traitor has pulled the emergency brake without there being an emergency. If this is the case, rest assure that he or she will be banned permanently as soon as possible.

In either case, this page will cease being shown whenever Sysop comes back. Sorry for this, but it's still far better than showing a messy board full of malicious, psychotic troll crap to new visitors. Read the bulletins once the board returns for more information.
